Like the title says, Google messages or Samsung native messaging app? Also any advantages from one to the other as far as features.

I started using Google Messages to get RSC but Samsung's messaging app has it also so I tried it. I didn't like the UI so I'm back to Google. It's been forever since I tried something from the Play Store but that's mostly because everyone started putting ads in the feed. When I'm checking my feed I don't want to see;

Leah Love Loren
25% off at Rodger's Rib Shack

and so on.

I use Verizon Message+ and TextPlus. I like them better than Google Messages but, Google Messages is good too. I like the colors and how the app changes color between texts. There always different colors when I use Verizon messages. The text box is a decent size and the photo you attach is big too.

I've used both happily, but I think I stuck to Samsung Messages on my Samsung phones and Google Messages on my Pixel phones. Easier that way. Plus, I think Google Messages ate a bit of my S19's battery when I tried using it on that device.

Google for me. I like the option to acess mt text messages from either my phone or from a web browser on mt PC. I type so much better and faster from my PC than with my thumbs on my phone lol

I forgot all about Messages+. Now that I'm back with Big Red I'll have to take that around the block and kick the tires again to see if it still hits like it used to. M+ was really good for me.

Well here in Brazil is, basically, WhatsApp or nothing. Unfortunately I must say, as I really hate that app.

But, with my closest friends and foes, Google on my Fold3 and iMessage on my iPhone.
