Go to Settings>About Tablet>Android Version. Jellybean is 4.1-4.3, KitKat is 4.4, and Lollipop is 5.0 and above.

That is correct. KitKat ranges from 4.4 to 4.4.4.

Thanks . I really love it. I'm dreading the lollipop update though. I've heard so many negative things about it, like the battery being much slower after the update.

My gripe about Kit Kat on Tab 4 7in.:
You can't write to external SD card. I bought a 32 Gig card and it's practically useless because Kit Kat 4.4 does not allow writing from 3rd party apps. This is outrageous. It wouldn't be so bad if you could easily upgrade to Lollipop or higher.......WITHOUT jumping through hoops (Rooting, etc). Surely there has been some way to remedy this but I am having a hell of a time searching forums, etc.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue. Any responses would be appreciated.
