Ditching my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. (and not the newer ones. The one that came out in 2012)
I'm getting excited for a big upgrade. Picking my Galaxy Note 4 up from FedEx after work today.

As for why I'm ditching it, my Droid is hella slow and unbearable to use. I can't even answer phone calls without it freezing up and I don't even have any apps or pictures on it anymore.

I am (very sadly) turning in my Note 2 for the 4. I have LOVED that phone since the day I got it, but between the pre-order $200 deal and some contract swapping to EDGE, we're still having to send the 2's back to Verizon even though the old 2 year contract is up in....a month. They just wouldn't budge on that. /sigh

Oh well, it saves money in the long run, and I suppose I really don't need to keep the 2. Traded in a barely functional HTC Thunderbolt for the gift card deal!

We went from s3's, but traded in a Tmobile Dash & ATT Tilt to Best Buy for the $200. I think the guy taking in the trade was still in elementary school back in the dash days! Moved from Sprint to Verizon, we'll see how they do.

Nexus 5, great phone but the battery and camera were a disappointment.

Lumia 1520 ...
In all honesty its a great looking phone with great hardware even though it has a few niggles all brought on by the os.
As an example of what I use my phone for it goes like this ..
Phone alarm wakes me up...lumia stock alarm works maybe 70% of the time ..totally random if it works or not
Get to work and use Bluetooth headphone to listen to audio books or music all day...the stock music player on wp is complete crap ..i can not over exaggerate this point ..it will not remember where you paused ( pretty basic thing to do I'd have thought) ..and the file system is just archaic..and every third party app is confined by the same structure so all are ****e but with different skins
Lunch time ill browse a bit off news apps ..i waited for 5 months to get flipboard for it to by a pale shadow of the android version ..even the ios version
Get home and browse few forums and such and use phone as a second screen for wowhead and such..
In the meanwhile take few photos of interesting stuff etc post to fb and whatsapp and skype ppl in other countries.
So for all that the Lumia 1520 works ..ish ..but having to log in every time I want to play words with friends or various other games gets really old quick.

Anyway I'm really looking forward to android again ..and as I see it the note 4 is the best phone around at the moment.
To sum it up I cant wait to get a phone I WANT to play with again rather just barely making one do what i want
Sorry for the bit of a rant but if any of you one to Guernsey soon you may just find a 5 month old Lumia 1520 washing up on the beach cos this is going straight in the sea soon as I get my note 4
