What phone should I get?

Your comment sounds too biased against Samsung to take seriously. OnePlus One isn't available yet, G3 has not even been announced yet and then the GS5 has been corroborated by several tech sites of having a good camera.

Sorry, I meant the Nexus 5 had an awful camera. My mistake. As far as Android goes, the GS5 is a good camera.

Good maybe...Would not call it great. The Nexus 5 destroys it in lowlight.

These are from images that Android Central themselves took. Lowlight on the S5 is a grainy mess. That first image says it all. Source: http://www.androidcentral.com/comparing-cameras-galaxy-s5-versus-nexus-5

I use lumias, neither camera is great to me and the regular non low light shots on the Nexus 5 look washed out and blurry.

Specifically in low light shots.

The M8 normal light shots are way washed out IMO.

All the pictures shown here were taken by Android Central under controlled conditions. This is not just me.

I'm torn between the Nexus 5, s5, and the M8. I'm still enjoying my s4 and its in perfect condition inch to inch. So I guess I might wait and see what's out later.

I for one am waiting for the Moto X+1 my self later this year. Maybe it will be released this summer time! :D

The S4 is plenty good. If it's meeting your needs I would say stick with it...decent CPU and RAM, very expandable storage/battery, nice display, and it still has a really good camera even by current standards.

The main reason I would pick an Nexus 5 over it is vanilla android and soft-key nav buttons...hardware home buttons have always annoyed me. It slows down navigation a lot IMO.

I accept that it is possible some people prefer washed out pictures. For them, the M8 will work well.

Well sure in your opinion it's washed out.. But you're entitled to that :). Others can disagree.

The consensus is that the Nexus 5's camera does out-perform the M8... But the M8's been coming in last in most of the shootouts, so that's not necessarily difficult

I took the plunge and got the s5. So far I have no regrets. :)
