What premium and deductible do you pay for what insurance coverage?

Insurance only, through Verizon Asurion wireless phone protection is $5.18 premium, $99 deductible. Includes drops, spills, loss and theft for a s6 64gb. This is a legacy plan.

I only plan to keep the phone for 6 months so asurion is cheaper for me. But if you plan to keep it for 2 years and don't need loss and theft then the Samsung plan is good.

Same here. The cost is $99 for 2 yr coverage, with a $75 deductible per claim. No theft or loss coverage.

I also got the Samsung protection plan. My logic is if I'm getting a replacement device, Samsung will provide the best quality replacement. (Using only OEM parts)

Certain credit cards, if used to pay the carrier bill, will insure a phone. I use Wells Fargo, but there is a link to a bank list here.
