I am running AOKP M3, and have radio EK05. I would like a stronger signal for my 4G. My hubby gets great 4G in the house, but my is very spotty. Handoff is important also because we have a few 4G blind spots in the areas around my town. Any suggestions? Also, I have never flashed a radio before, so please drop any tidbits of advice you may have. I did some searching, but not a lot out there on radios.

Thanks in advance.

Tried the 4.0.4 radios, but had some weird issues. Not sure they were related to the radios, as I was flashing other ROMs and kernels at the same time, but I went back to 4.0.3 and have had no trouble. Radios are not 'one size fits all' and there seems to be a wide variance in how individual phones/radios/cell towers interact. The best thing to do is flash and experiment until you find one that works for you.

I like to flash mine in fastboot (as opposed to ClockWorkMod). You can find the fastboot-flashable radio images here.

I too have the EK05/EK02 radios, and I can say that my 3G is sooo much faster now. I can't report on 4G as we don't have it...yet.
At this point I'm not seeing a reason to get the 4.0.4 radio.

I'm using the 4.0.4 radios .I am not sure if there is an very noticable difference ,,however its not worse either .Thats why I am still using the 4.0.4 radios ;)
I dont have any real complaints with either the 4.0.2 radio or 4.0.4 radio just flashed to test

Pretty much my experience here. No 4G yet, so I can't comment on that, but my house is in a weak signal area. I flashed the 4.0.3 radios and saw better d/l speeds and a more stable connection. Then I went to 4.0.4 and saw SLIGHTLY better d/l, but the connection was less stable. I would show connected, but still get no throughput. It also started dropping calls on voice. Went back to 4.0.3 and have better connections without dropped calls.

Put radio zip file in your SD card(virtual I know) boot in clockwork and find the zip. Click on it and install.

Yeah just download and flash away no wiping necessary...you can find all the radios in ROM Manager under peter alfonso

I have been using the 4.0.3 radios and like them. May give 4.0.4 a try.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

I wasn't originally going to flash the .4 radios, I was enjoying the .3 ones quite nicely. But I broke down and flashed the .4 anyway.

Went from -120dBm in my basement to -100 to -93dBm! I'm liking these alot.

I'm on 3G only...no 4G in my area to test that.

For the most part around the house I've gained about -10dBm. We'll see what improvements I see at work.
