What Rom?

So I am planning on rooting and roming my Nexus either later tonight or tomorrow, I am browsing through and researching some roms to put on. I am looking for fun customization and a rom that improves overall performance (the crappy service problem) as well as battery life. I have narrowed it to AxiomCrossbreed, CM9, and Codename. What do you prefer?

Axiom or AOKP if you want a million features. Axiom crossbreed is AOKP features with Droidtheory's speed and performance scripts. It's nice.

Cm9 will have loads of features eventually, but right now it's at about 50 percent what it will be when it's finished - it's nice and quick, but it's not really ready yet, imo.

I am about to flash codename for the second time to test something out, but i haven't really used it because AOKP has all the features you need.

If you want performance first, options second, you may want to chekc out bugless beast or Javroch's Clean AOSP rom.

Good luck! They're all great, so you may just want to test the waters before you settle.

Right now the best rom hands down is liquid 1.25 with mod v6supercharge. I have never had a rom like this before its just amazing. Trust me! Its so snappy and fast I'm not even overclocked

Right now the AXI0M builds are out of this world. Whether or not they're the best is very subjective and determined on a user per user basis.

On an objective basis, however, he has to be the hardest working dev out there right now. The rate of substantive builds is just ridiculous.

I was using codename but it got too bloated and with errors when it went above version 1.4.

I am using bugless beast and I am getting much better performance and signal as opposed to just 4.0.4 radios.
It's a no frills rom with no customization, but it works, which is what I need with this phone's horrible reception.

Anyone know if Liquid comes with new radios or Kernel? Im scouting ROMs right now and I am thinking about going with liquid since thats what i was running on my OG before i got the Nexus. Anyone comment on battery life? Thanks in advance.

It comes with an imo kernel but no radios. Radios almost never come with roms, and if they do they're a separate package--usually.
