What should I do before taking into Sprint?

I'm currently rooted running Reborn 2.2.4... keep having issues with my phone so I'm going to take it in... what should I do to it before doing that? Just nandroid stock or should I unroot completely? And if I should unroot, where can I find a stock recovery file?

I looked under stickies, and there nothing there. Oh I see people talking about kdz all the time, but nothing on how to use it. We all know zefies unroot thread is full of broken links, so I know you are not talking about that. I have been dealing with data issues myself and spent days ( off and on of course) trying to find a way that I can comprehend. I truly wish someone who knows what they are doing would work up an updated unroot/unbrick thread for us that are just now starting to understand what we are doing. Unrooting can be a little daunting.

My phone likes to randomly push buttons whenever it feels like it. When Pandora randomly turned on and started blasting Pitbull in my very quiet workplace, I decided it should probably go in. I haven't un-rooted just yet. I'm a cheater and used the gingerbreak.apk to root directly from my phone so I think I'm going to use Drew's Optimus Control Center to return to stock. I just have to find the time!

I wonder if its your display / touch panel acting up?

I was noticing my phone would be in all kinds of weird areas / settings / apps whenever I pulled it out
of my work bag and/or pocket. It was also getting quite a bit of dust under the screen near the
sd card slot area. I bought a replacement screen off e-bay. The thing was new! Still had the stickers
on the buttons. It was the front half of the phone, touch screen plus LCD display underneath.

Finally had time to replace it this weekend, and since its got a new screen, haven't seen any of those
weird issues so far. I kept the old touch screen/LCD so will try and split those apart and clean out the
dust and maybe put it back in later, see if the dust was causing the touch issues.

Not a bad fix for $15!

If ur having problem like that a digitizer is expensive for this phone I suggested. You open it and scratch break something inside but only if you put insurance. I'm pretty. Sure you can get a another one

I have insurance on it so I figured I'd have them at least take a peek at it and see if they can fix/replace it.

Don't do it they will know if your rooted unless you unrooted all

I assume you didn't remap any of your keys. I remapped my music player to the camera bouutton but had problems like you are having.

If you haven't done so, you might want to try a clean reinstall of Reborn.

Yeah, it's kinda silly that the stickied unroot thread is out of date and the kdz unroot thread isn't stickied.

I did not. I already tried to clear everything and installed Drew's CM7 mod, but I couldn't even get it set up before the problem started again. It's definitely a phone issue. I was going through the setup on CM7 and it kept pushing next on me before I got a chance to do anything. Somehow ended up having the damn menu in Dutch as a result. Try setting your phone up that way! I ended up wiping again and doing a nandroid restore back to Reborn. Talk about frustrating.

Also, I planned to revert back to stock to take it in, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Every couple of months i have to take my phone in to get the dust cleaned out from the screen, I just install my Nandroid of my stock VD. Never had a problem!

And our Sprint store must be slow or something b/c they won't even attempt to clean dust from under the screen. Had that problem with my Hero and they refused. :/

Drew has one on the forum, posted by someone else to download check his sign. I can not look right now at work and on phone. Will look for link later if needed.
