What storage devices are available

I'm currently using Samsung EVO 64 micro sd for my s8. I'm curious if any external hard drive or ssd (I think that's right abbreviation), would work. I know samsung has 256 gb sd card, also they have the T5 in 500gb, 1 and 2tb also. Will the external T5 work for extra downloads with the s8?

If it has a USB data connection and an external power connection, any hard drive or SSD will work. If it doesn't have a USB data connection you can't connect it. If it doesn't have an external power connection, the phone probably won't be able to power it for very long.
