I called the local corporate store about 5 minutes after seeing the press release. I asked about making an appointment tomorrow for 10:00am when they open. The rep said sure. Then she asked what phone and I said the nexus, she kinda stuttered and said, "I think the Nexus is...hold on ok?" Comes back a minute later, "Ok, see you tomorrow".

im going to order it online in the morning, delivery for friday sounds good. if ordering online is a hassle ill go down and buy it in store.

Has any android phone ever have supply problems? I doubt it. Many ppl dont even know this is being release tomorrow. I plan to just walk in and buy one.

You should be fine, unless you have one store in your area. Even then there should be a 3rd party around. Good luck

Store by me has 50 in stock, so going when I can. Not worried about it being sold out.

I'm hoping to just walk in and buy one at 9:00AM. I know that two people on here will be going to the same store I am. That's only three phones and, hopefully they didn't just send them 5 phones or something ridiculous like that.

A smaller retailer I talked to today said they would only have 5 phones but, I would expect this main store to have more than that.

The only thing is it isn't highly anticipated except by those who visit sites like these and maybe some of their friends. It is not a widely known thing. You can't forget those of us on here are a tiny percent of the customers.

9 a.m. at Capital City Mall corporate kiosk. They let me play with one (actually, two) tonight and said they have more than a dozen in stock.

I have a final from 12:30 to 4...so after that. What do you think of my chances? I can probably hit up a costco, 3 verizon stores within a couple miles from my house, and 3 best buys around my house, all within 20 minutes driving distance.

10:10 AM...I'd feel awkward to be there right when they open.

I really hope that this isn't a surprise hit. I want to be in and out as quick as possible. android is gaining momentum and who knows how many of us nerds are really out there. it's really interesting to see nerds from all walks of life. although this isn't as popular as a certain fruit flavored phone, it's not like it's a secret that it's going to be released. it's on the front page of google news and reports are saying phrases along the lines of "the hot anticipated phone..." plus think about how popular google in itself is.

I went to a verizon store at about 7:30PM - a good couple of hours after the official announcement and my conversation with a rep went like this...

Me : Do you have a demo unit that I can see?
Rep : Shakes head (and offers no explanation)
Me : It is getting released tomorrow, right?
Rep : Yes, it is.
Me : And you don't have a demo unit?
Rep : We can't put up the demo units till after we close..
Me : Sigh.... thanks.

Don't understand why they still have to be secretive about it. The whole conversation went like I asked him about something that I should not have talked about in public.
