I just got back from the corporate VZW in Dekalb, IL and they said they have 40 in stock. The 2 guys I talked to said each have had about 3 or 4 people ask about the phone in the last day. They actually compared it to the iPhone in terms of interest, saying they were surprised. I don't know if it's quite iPhone big, but they said they could see 20 of them going pretty fast in the morning. I asked if I'd be able to get one around 4:00pm when I'd get there after work and they thought it'd be unlikely there would be any left. So looks like I'm taking an early lunch, or a half day... it's pretty slow around the holidays anyways. So I'm not sure if there will be a stampede, but seems to me these likely will be sold out by closing time tomorrow at the very least.
side note: They already had the white RAZR out in place of the black one(store is pretty small). Nothing special about it, its actually still mostly black/kevlar. Not sure why they even bothered releasing it white.

That's the only thing I'm concerned about should I decide to go to the store. I've didn't have a issue getting the Xoom at launch but, I'm not sure about this phone. I remember when the Ipad first came out, I couldn't find it anywhere.

OMG! Anxiety is swelling. I think I'll have to call in sick tomorrow. I wasn't going to, but I don't think I'll make it through eight hours hoping they don't run out.

My store has 30, and no way is my hick town gonna buy all of those. If you're in a big city, they may run out.

I know how you feel. It seems like a lot of people don't even know what the Galaxy nexus is but, I'm not sure. I'm glad it's launching tomorrow because it's my last day off and, I can go first thing in the morning. It just surprised me that there were two people on here already that are going to the same store I am and, I don't know how many more will.

I stopped at my local store on the way home from work this evening. Told the guy I knew it was coming out tomorrow and that they didn't open early enough for me to come in before my work. He took my name, number, and some other info and said he would put 2 aside for me. It may help that I told him I would be leaving AT&T for this

I didn't have them hold one for me, I think they would have offered if that was an option. I did get a card with the salesman's number, he told me to text him around 10, thinking he might hold one then. But I'm still leaning towards leaving early for a long lunch.

9:30 on the dot... good thing about living in Manhattan, if for whater reason the store I'm headed to didn't get their stock, there's 10 more places within a 5 minute block to check out. I'm not going to work till i have this baby in my hands

Ditto. Mine was cool as hell about it. I told him I'd be coming in late in the morning, probably work from home for the first hour -- he said whatever makes you feel good about it, go ahead and not to sweat it.
Oh yeah, and he wants to play around with my phone before he goes and gets himself one later in the day, lol

Still don't know, so I'm getting there at 8:45 AM and hopefully all goes smoothly.
