I'm stoked . . . My X arrives tomorrow by noon. As a BB user for 5 + years . . . I'm not sure what to expect tomorrow when my phone arrives tomorrow.

Does it come with a sync program (similar to BB Desktop Manager)?
Does Droid X sync with Outlook?
Do I need to "fully charge" before I begin test driving it (battery memory)?

Anything else I need to know about cranking the X for the first time . . . . I'm quite excited!!!!

As a former BB user til I got a Droid a couple of weeks ago (and traded it for a Droid X yesterday) I know the anticipation. I will never look back LOL.

Pretty much everything is done through Gmail and other google apps.

Your contacts are done through GMail contacts. If you change a contact on the phone, it will update the online version and vice-versa.

As far as Outlook goes, if you use the calendar, create a google calendar and sync it with Outlook. I think you have to have the google calendar sync installed.

If you want to use Windows Media Player and sync music and videos, plug your Droid X into your computer and will ask if you want to do Windows Media Sync as one of the options. It will install a driver and then it will show your device in Windows Media that you can drag and drop music to and from your X.

And if you have wireless network, set your WIndows MEdia up as a sharing device, and use the DLNA function of the X. I have been messing with that and it is way stinking cool! Play music from your DLNA device, copy files to and from devices.

I have been sitting and watching TV in one room and pulling music off my Office PC and saving it to my Droid X SD card!!!!

You will love it!!!

Good luck and have fun!
