I'm guessing he means the Samsung bloat since the Verizon bloat is the same on both.

Edit: phrasing

Today, no. 34 days ago based on rumors about it, there was no way to know if it does or not. It definitely was not a complaint about the Droid Maxx 34 days ago. As far as I know, it's not a complaint today about excess, but I do know that there are pre-installed apps.

As far as I know verizon adds more bloatware than any other carrier specially on the droid line. But then again I don't own a verizon phone and probably never will. I might be wrong so someone please verify this for me.

I'm not sure either, I've never compared the amount of bloatware between carriers but intuitively I would have assumed Sprint. Not sure why actually... but I guess I was also making the assumption that someone choosing between the S4 and Maxx might be choosing between the Verizon S4 and the Maxx, given the exclusivity of the latter. I wonder if anyone has compared the amount of bloatware between devices and between carriers.

Verizon loads bloat on everything, I remember my brother had an OG Razr flip phone.. and it had Bloat.

Yeah, I'm not going to deny Big Red loading enough bloat to float a boat on ever device they can cram a logo on the front of. I just don't know if they do so more than everyone else or not :) Apparently there is big money on including someone's app.

I remember having an old flip phone back in the Cingular days.. I think it even had a small amount of bloat.

the Maxx obviously.. I went from the Maxx HD to the Maxx and I'm glad I did.. I've maybe only experienced choppiness once but its very smooth. The Maxx HD would get spurts of lag.. Active Notifications and 10 mp camera is awesome. People say the camera isn't great but after some practice with it, I never have crappy pictures.

There you go and again verizon wants to brand their logo everywhere they can, just look at the note 2 and the horrendous logo on the home button. Many people hate that. If I remember correctly they even put in on the galaxy nexus.

A coworker has the Galaxy S4 with Verizon and he has a lot more bloatware compared to my GS4 on Sprint!

I just moved to Verizon from Sprint. Had the S4 on Sprint and now have it on Verizon. In comparison, both devices have about the same amount of bloat.

I would love to be able to remove bloatware easily out of the box! :banghead:

I just picked up a Maxx. I came from the Galaxy S4 on Verizon.

The bloatware is easily disabled. Boom, like it's not even there.

As far as the phone, I don't even notice that it has a 720p screen, and it's mostly due to the non-pentil pixel arrangement. The phone is fast, I absolutely love Touchless Control, and Moto Assist is another useful feature.

I find myself not using almost 3/4 of the features on the GS4.

Yes, it is easily disabled on the Galaxy S4 too. I said removed, not disabled! :D

I don't understand people getting a new phone after a few months. Did you have to pay full retail for it? what made you want to switch, what didn't you like about the S4. Still trying to make this decision, lol.

Does anybody use these phones for WORK? How well does it sync with Outlook? I absolutely have to sync calendar, email, contacts, notes, etc with Outlook on my work PC.
