Hi,

As I already posted on another thread I'm using the T-mobile verison of the LG L90 with KitKat, so instead of having 8 Gb ROM I only have 4 Gb. Since Kitkat have heavy restriction on the direct use of the SD Card, must of the APPS that I had used can not save files directly to the SD Card (Superbeam, Wi-Fi Transfer, AndFTP). The USB connection is the other slower alternative (bad for very large files), but for some reason LG doesn't allow you to get your SD Card as a "Windows" drive, instead it use its own driver and my phone shows up in Windows explorer more like a Camera or MP3 device. I had tried both MTP and "LG software" mode and in some instances I'm getting errors transferring files larger than 4Gb.

How do you do it?

How is the SD Card formatted? Some file systems have restrictions on the size of a single file and there's no way around it. FAT32 file system has a 4 GB per file size limit, FAT (or FAT16) has a 2 GB per file size limit.

Hallux excellent clarification and very helpfull. I'm using FAT32 and the large files that I have are mostly movies so for now on I will re-code the movies so they get smaller than 4Gb.

So conclusion is that there is no other way but the USB cable, right?

Even with FTP I have twice the download speed the only problem is that I'm forced to use the ROM

Try USB Cable
Make the ROM a WinRAR archive divided by 4 parts (each with 1 gb of space)
