What twitter app is everyone using?

I like Plume. I'm also waiting to see what Carbon has to offer, if it ever gets here.

Tweetdeck is my Twitter app of choice.

I have to agree with jd914, Tweetdeck is the way to go.

Waaay back when I had a Blackberry, I loved SocialScope, then I got my Thunderbolt and it wasn't available, so I settled on Tweetdeck for a while.

Tweetdeck isn't bad, the problem is that it hasn't been updated since since last fall when Twitter bought Tweetdeck, so some functionality (like FB notifications) don't work anymore. Most of the Twitter features work, but I really wanted to be able to utilize 1 app for multiple social networks...I mean, that's why I loved SocialScope so much for the BB. My other problem with tweetdeck is while the interface is fine for a phone, it definitely is not optimized for tablets. (Unless it has recently been updated and I don't know about it).

A few months ago though I was able to finally download the Scope app (from the SocialScope folks), and have been using it since. I love the full Integration with FB, and ability to view timelines from other services as well, such as Instagram. The interface is clean, and looks great on my phone or tablets (I have a galaxy 10.1 as well). They are still in "beta" and may still require an invite to create an account, but I definitely recommend it. My only real problem with Scope since I started using it is that I don't care for their new icon, but that doens't really have anything to do with how the app actually works.

Just my 2?

I use Tweetcaster Pro on my phone - but have been looking for a good option for my Nexus 7, will definitely check out Tweet Lanes and I've read about Slices, might have to try that too LOL

I'm new to Android with my Nexus 7 - is there any twitter app that has live updating timeline like tweetbot on IOS- new tweets just appear at the top of the timeline?

I must be pretty boring because I use the official twitter app and I don't see anything wrong with it haha.

Tweakdeck is just as good as tweetdeck !! That's what I use on my gnex and will probably use on my nexus 7, I downloaded tweet lanes for the 7 and its OK...might be better if you could add your own lanes like tweak/tweet deck

Of course tweakdeck hasn't been updated in some months lol but it did fix the fb issue and others that tweetdeck was having

I just started using Plume. I like that it lets you color code tweets

The only problem i find with Plume is that it uses a awfully large amount of memory, slowing down the entire device.

I have Plume and Slices installed but I have been using Slices more than Plume and may eventually delete Plume.

How many accounts are you using and what is your list limit at? I am only using 1 twitter account and I have the limit set to 100. I haven't noticed any slow down due to Plume. Only thing that I've had cause slow down so far is the Ultimate Rotation app. As soon as I uninstalled that things were great again.

Stupid me, I did not even think to change any settings lol. But now that I have taken a look I am even more impressed with the functionality of Plume. I follow 900 people on twitter and had no limit set, so Plume was hogging > 250MB of memory. Thanks for the tip!

Another thing I really like about Plume is the integrated browser. Its not the quickest but its nice to be able to look through tweets while waiting for a page to load. Its like the integrated browser in the official twitter iPad app, but a bit more rough around the edges. I really wish the official twitter app for android was as good as the iPad one.

Official twitter app and tweet lanes. Tried others. Always come back to these two.

Thanks to the folks who brought up Tweet Lanes. I checked it out and have already deleted Tweetcaster Pro... I like T Caster but Tweet Lanes suits me more. Great app
