Sometimes, not always, you can use a regular micro-b cable sacrificing speeds that you get with the SS Cable in a pinch.THANKS ALL. I knew this group would come through - which is why I posted off-topic in this forum.
This is a Seagate portable drive. I have a few drives with that type of usb. Just wanted to potentially get an extra cable just IN CASE.
