What was LG thinking with the app panel design?

If he's not pulling our legs at this point then I'm truly mystified.

LOL
This person has to be someone trying to spread hate. they couldn't be more wrong. but...in any case will give you one more

apps on panels can either be removed or deleted. when you long press and start to move the icon, you have a choice of what to do. personally I think this is a great feature. if that is Android or LG, one of the best parts of setting up phone.

now I can delete immediately if wanted and not have to remove icon and then go to app drawer and remove there as well.

Thanks for finding another reason to live this phone.

If it works the same on my LG V20, you can just press and hold on one of the panels to add/remove apps and widgets. You can also open the app drawer and long press the apps you want to add to a panel. If the panel is empty, it even tells you what to do.View attachment 288030

You can't! Just widgets.

open the app drawer. hold the app you want on the panel and you will be able to move it there. original will still be in app drawer.

Same thing as what I've been showing you.

Now that you seem to be bashing one of the few people genuinely trying to help you, I'm going to step out of this thread. There's others in here using this phone and saying they don't have the problem you are, and none of them have corrected my advice (the LG launcher isn't THAT different from phone to phone). Now I've given you a link to an official set of instructions that are arguably less detailed than what I've posted (no picture examples).

If none of this is what you are after, then it's you that needs to take a step back and think about what you're asking, because the overwhelming responses here are either not giving you the help you're looking for or are baffled as to what it is you're asking. Or you can keep it up and who knows, maybe someone will happen to stumble across this thread that does have a satisfactory answer for you.

Right? How hard is it to change home screen to Home and App Drawer, then go in to the app drawer and long press the app you want, then drag it to the home screen. Oh wait, seems to be too hard for some people.

Solid post. Thank you.

Do you know the phone documentation on what you said?

Zero.

Thanks for your in depth concern.

Peace.

And it would be appreciated if you read the posts of those replying to you.

You can also open the app drawer and long press the apps you want to add to a panel.

Part of my first reply to you yesterday, which you were dismissing. This whole thing could've been avoided if you took the advise.

This whole thing could've been avoided if LG had a competent manual. Your pics threw me off.

There's videos on YouTube to learn how to use your phone. There's not being angry because you can't comprehend what people are responding to you. Google things, slow down and read.

So when you use the app drawer/list whatever you want to call it.....long press an icon you want on your homescreen. Then slightly shift the icon. You should see your home pages, and you can place the app icon where you want.
