What web browser is everyone using. just curious cause I'm always on the lookout for power efficient browser apps. I'm actually using the Samsung internet beta. Seems not to tax the battery as much as chrome and is pretty zippy. It's one of the few things I thought worked really well when I had my Galaxy s6.

Not sure exactly. It seems to be a common issue that chrome is a bit of a battery hog. Whenever I use it is always pretty high on the battery consumption. When I use chrome all day it's usually above 30%. Other web browsers are usually around low 20's.

That's good to know! Thank you for sharing! I'm sure there are more battery-friendly browser apps out there!

I use Chrome because I haven't found any other browser that uses the swipe down to switch to tabs pane gesture, and I really prioritize that over the battery drain that I know happens.

You're right, that is a very significant feature that I too enjoy. Otherwise, I'd look into Firefox.

Well, I just installed the MS Edge beta and I have to say that I'm surprised at how well it's performing. It's opening pages considerably faster than Firefox and so far I've had no freezes or crashes. At this point, it's replacing Firefox as my main browser. That works well for me because I come from Windows phone (which I'm still using at least 60% of the time) so I'm used to Edge both on my phone and my PC, so it's nice to have everything in sync (and familiar feeling). But I wouldn't be using it if it was a struggle. So, if you're looking to try a different browser, give the Edge beta a try.

I may try that, because I switched to Firefox and I'm not really enjoying it so far.

Who woulda thunk, a Microsoft browser that works well ! ;) I'll have to give it a try.
