What will I be missing if I buy a N6 Verizon model?

I really want a Nexus 6 and wanted to buy direct from Google, but tech support from Verizon said I would not be able to use it with their network. So I'm wondering, if I get the Verizon model, is there a big difference between that and one straight from Google?

You can use it on their network. Do you have an active SIM already (in your current phone) for Verizon?

Verizon are just a bunch of DBs. You could always ditch them when you get the phone you want :)

Yep. Using my G3. They said something about 4g only working and not 3g and 1x?

You can use the play store version, but the Verizon version is exactly the same. Just the tramp stamp on the back. Don't be one of those people that doesn't buy a phone just because of a carrier logo ;)

And this is why we never listen to the in store reps. This is blatantly wrong. They are the exact same phone.

A Nexus 6 is a Nexus 6... No matter where you get it (in the US). Hardware wise, they are identical. The only difference is the software that is loaded (which is easily changed).

No, the logo doesn't bother me a bit. I'm just very interested in getting this phone and want to make sure I get the best experience.

Ok, just wanted to make sure. You never know with Verizon!😁

I'm sorry, but T-Mobile might have coverage issues here and there, but they had 0 issues when I brought my play-store N5 to them. If Verizon told me what they told you, I'd have some choice words for the rep, then find a new provider...

I have a none VZ nexus that I am using on VZ. I just don't have the logo on the phone which is just pure awesomeness lol

And you CAN use/have 3G/1X on it cause its hit those on my nexus 6 when I was at work

I got the vzw model of N6, no vzw bloatware on this phone.:)
I think there was some bloatware on the vzw Galaxy Nexus a few years ago tho .

Oh... as for the different software releases for the different phones... In pretty much all cases, those builds are there for the specific requirements for each carrier's implementation of advanced telephony functions... things like VoLTE and (for T-Mobile) Wifi Calling. From an end-user standpoint, each and every one is functionally identical to the other (other than those features I mentioned).

Bought VZ N6. Removed the logo in a few days XD. Really not much of a problem :P

VZW only comes in 32GB and Play store comes in 32 and 64GB. That is the only difference.

I bought a non Verizon Nexus from best buy, it works perfectly on the Verizon network.

I'm using an unlocked 64 GB version that I bought on Swappa on Verizon. No issues whatsoever. I already had a sim I used with Droid Turbo so it was very simple.

What would you be missing?...YOUR SOUL!, Verizon is EVIL! In case you couldn't tell, I'm not one of their fans.
