I would not like direct TV ads in my notification bar. Can you long press it and block the notifications like other apps?

Like most bloat you can disable them.

Oh also I looked (I wasn't sure since I don't use these) but it seems LG has the same backup as Samsung and it is present on my Verizon G6 so hopefully they leave it alone for the Samsung variant.

I used the samsung s8 plus at best buy and sorry to say verizon is still blocking samsung cloud. I could not see anything else that verizon is blocking right now but i did look for the cloud and saw they had blocked it in favor of the verizon cloud

Yup Verizon looks to have blocked this on the S8 like the Note 7. This is what we were talking about lol. Not a deal breaker for me because most of my stuff is in the cloud but these are the types of things that Verizon does to ruin the experience. Now of course other carriers do stuff and have their own bloats but no one goes as far as VZW.

Oh nice the Verizon variant is at the Best Buy? I would think it was a default phone with none of the carriers names like they did Note 7 that's what made me buy it just to be disappointed. I'll have to go check it out this weekend but still the Samsung cloud is missing so unlocked it is. I'm not worried about waiting for updates even if it is an upgrade to the newest OS.

I took an old Note 3 of mine and switched out the displays. Only downside is the other phone was is saltwater and fried everything so when I switched the motherboards and turned it on my screen is greenish looking with colors missing and I can't use my fingers but the stylus works. Now I can wait for the unlocked version.

Yes you can disable most bloat but you can't enable features. I love you Verizon.
