Apps "crashing" (stopping) is pretty common when your device is low on storage/memory. Can I ask what brand/model your device is, what carrier/plan you use, how much memory/storage you have? I may be able to help you out a lot more once we know that.
One thing for you to try that may help: Go to Settings, Storage, and find Cached Data. This is temporary data that apps connecting to the Internet store on your device for faster retrieval next time you use it. Problem is, it builds up over time and eats up space. So, if you tap on Cached Data, it will ask you if you want to clear Cached Data for all apps. Choose yes, this may help out a lot.
