What would cause outgoing audio (phone) to go out?

So I've had a few problems here and there. One of which was really weird. I called home from my Incredible and the other end could not hear me at all. I ended up having to reboot the phone to get it to work. Could some app have been running that would have interfered with that. The bluetooth was not on. I haven't had it happen again, but today I received a call from my mom twice, and when I answered, it was blank, and she said she heard it ring and then go into clicks. Once again, i had to reboot it to get the call to work.

Has anyone had any issues like this?

I had a similar episode. Power cycled the phone off and back on and it worked fine. Hasn't happened again (knock on wood).

it happened to me the other day, and i was pissed off.

i then realized i had somehow muted the phone when on a call and it didn't automatically revert back to not being muted for a separate call.

I had this happen when Slacker Radio was installed. Removed Slacker and everything was honky dory. Didn't do a reboot, so I don't know if that would have fixed it...probably should have tried.

call someone (i called my house) on the phone call screen there are two icons, one is the speaker and the other is mute (it's an icon of a mic) click that and it will tell you if it's turning mute on or off.

i thought it was weird that it wouldn't revert back to unmute after a call ended.

Slacker has caused me more headaches than it was worth. Back to podcasts for me!

I'm using Slacker (with caching) and it hasn't caused any problems with my phone. I like Slacker so much that I might have gone back to my Storm if it did cause problems. OMG I almost threw up just saying that lol!

I've the OP issue twice. Once after the update that was pushed a couple of weeks ago and one the very next day - for no reason that I could determine. No problems since then...

Yeah, that must not be it then. Since I just did a test, and when muted it does, in fact, unmute after that call ends.

In this situation, 3 calls could not hear me until I powered off and on.

Had a similar problem yesterday. Was using Slacker as well as a BlueAnt ST3 visor clip, and had multiple errors while playing back Slacker over BT. Figured no big deal.

However, next time I went to make an outgoing call, I had no audio from the handset. I checked to make sure that there were no BT connections, and even disabled BT just in case, but still could not get audio from handset.

I ended up doing a battery pull. Not sure if there could have been another fix, but battery pull definetly fixed it.

Will have to check if it's Slacker, BT headphone, BlueAnt ST3, or some other factor.
