What's a good SD card for the Note 4?

Always had bad luck with anything other than Samsung SD cards in galaxy devices. Current 64gb Samsung card has been running strong for over a year now.

I echo what fulleraj said about using Samsung sdcards in Samsung phones. It might be a coincidence but they have been reliable for me while other brands have not.

FWIW, I had problems with Lexar, PNY, Sandisk and ADATA cards. Finally I tried a Samsung-branded card and it worked fine.

Having said that, I no longer use an SD card in my Note 3. I found that 32gb was enough for all my stuff, and had read that the SD card can slow the phone down (not sure that was true or not), so I'm going 'naked' now.

I've never had a problem with my 64GB Sandisk Ultra in my Note II, nearly two years now. I plan to move it over to my Note 4 when I get it.

As others have indicated, Samsung-branded SD cards seem to be the best, at least in the Note 3. I had nothing but grief with my Note 3 and other SD cards - even top of the line cards. YMMV

I only have experience with my SanDisk 64 gig card. It hasn't given me any problems with my Note 3. I understand why Samsung doesn't recommend using a 128gb card in the Note 4. They just don't make one. I would bet that a SanDisk 128gb card will work as well with the Note 4 as many people have reported here with the Note 3.

Thanks for the input guys! This will be my second Droid since the Droid X and had iPhone's since 2012 so I just wanted some suggestions on the SD card.

Where have you seen Samsung say they don't recommend using a 128GB card in the Note 4? They support it.

To the OP, I've used both Sandisk and Samsung without a problem in my Note 3. I usually buy Sandisk and I only get the ones with the Lifetime warranty. They are higher quality, faster, and Sandisk has an incentive to make them well because of the cost to them under the warranty.

Of course any card can fail and SD cards have never been the most reliable form of storage in general, so always back up. If you back up and use a LIfetime warrantied Sandisk card, you don't have to worry about losing data or money.

Been using an off-brand 128 GB microSD in my Note 3 I bought on eBay brand new for like $20 shipped with no hiccups. Going on about 5 months with no problems so far. Plan to put it to use in the Note 4 when I get it.

They later put out an official info graphic saying it supports 128GB and all the carrier pages for the carrier versions, both on the Samsung site and the carrier sites say it supports 128 GB.

Please provide a link with this newer specification. I provided a link from Samsung's own site, which is still showing 64gb maximum, though I don't believe it is true.
