What's best fitness tracker to pair with S21

I'm looking to use the Samsung Health app on my S21 to track some jogging, some 'old man' basketball and basic exercise.

Thought about the Galaxy Watch 4, but seems like too big and overkill for just tracking and giving myself some reference points and target goals while I try to get back to the world of not being so out of shape.

The Samsung Fit2 seemed like a good fit (ha!) for what I'm looking for, but Samsung doesn't have it available on it's site or the Samsung Shop app anymore.

Is it still a good idea to buy it from a third party, or is the Fit2 end of life with a new version expected to come when the next flagships get announced?

Honestly the galaxy watch 4 is going to be your best bet. It may seem like overkill but it has a lot of useful features as well.

The best way to really describe the watch as a whole is that it compliments the phone experience. As in its not burden to have the whole watch. It does a great job of streamlining the already great phone experience.

When I got the watch 4 from samsung they had an option to try it for 21 days risk free. Then you can send it back or keep it. That might be an idea to try and see how it fits into your life.

You may also want to consider a Fitbit (maybe a Versa 3) or GW Active 2 if you want a little more. A Fitbit is cheaper but not as loaded as the GWs. Really though, if you go for a GW you may be happy for longer with it. I use a GW Active 2 and GW 3 and for fitness they're as close to an Apple Watch in utility (the benchmark) as I've come across. I imagine a GW 4 is even better.
