What's making these ads pop up?

What's making these ads pop up? Is it an app I have downloaded or a setting or what? It's pretty random and takes up the whole home screen.... I've only noticed it being there right when I unlock the screen....

Hard to say if that's due to the Galaxy Apps Store, or if it's due to some kind of adware that got installed alongside some other app. I hesitate to suggest tapping it, but I wonder if it downloads from Google Play Store or the Galaxy Apps Store. If the former, then it's clearly not due to the Galaxy Store, and it's also not due to Google Play, because they don't do that kind of thing. So it would definitely be due to some other adware. But if it downloaded from the Galaxy Apps Store, then I'd wonder if this is a function of that store.

I actually did go ahead and tap on it (by accident) and it took me straight to the Google play store. What can I do to get rid of them?

In that case, it's probably adware from some other app you installed. You could try Lookout's Ad-Network Scanner & Detector. If that doesn't help, then you may have to try uninstalling apps one by one until the popups go away. Alternatively, you could do a factory reset, then install apps one by one afterwards.
