What's the best browser today

I know that there are a ton of browsers out there for Android. I've tried a ton of them here's what I've tried so far: Brave, Firefox, Chrome, Chrome Canary, Samsung Internet, Dolphin, and Naked browser. The problem with all of these is that there still isn't one browser that does it all. Here's what I want. Built in ad blocking, bookmark importing, website compatibility and theming. One of the options above should be able to handle it all. But they don't. Dolphin was the closest I got. The problem with that one though was my bookmarks wouldn't import from Chrome and a lot of the sites I opened didn't display right. Anyone know of a browser I've missed that does it all?

For mobile devices: The winner is Chrome from the giant Google

it may doesn't do or have the features you are looking for..

But offers the highest security on the market, slowly

these mentioned features would be added

now Let's read more replies

That's what I keep coming back to in the end, but ads ugghh! I seriously doubt that Chrome will ever encorporate ad blocking. After all they sell advertising space...

I'll go with Samsung Internet. For some reason sure it doesn't theme with the phone, but it's faster than Chrome, can sync bookmarks with Chrome, and has ad block. I haven't encountered website incompatibility with it.

I've tried a few, but keep coming back to Chrome, much to my dismay. The lack of bookmark importing has been my biggest reason to stay with it. But as I like to say, each update is better than the next.

First they removed the useful bookmark and history buttons on the new tab page and replaced them with spam.

Then they got tired of virtually everyone bypassing their spam by removing the flags that allowed you to revert to the traditional layout.

Then they removed the ability to swipe in from the left to access bookmarks and especially the sub-folders, making you navigate bookmarks on a per folder basis. What used to take me only a few actions all close to each other, now takes up to 5 actions in various parts of the screen to get from one bookmark to the next I wish to view.

In the latest change (I refuse to call it an update, because it's yet another step backwards for me), they apparently moved the navigation bar to the bottom of the screen. I'm only going by the reviews, as I'm holding off updating as long as I can because this too I don't want. I didn't want those other updates either, but guess what comes with system updates: forced Chrome updates that you can't roll back!

Yeah, it's the king, but only because people are so integrated into it. It's like Apple with their integration that makes it hard to leave. It'll be a big hassle to migrate all of my bookmarks manually, but at the rate Google is going, it'll be worth it before long.

@Tim1954 The Adguard application says that it only works for Yandex & Samsung Internet browsers. How are you getting this to work in Chrome?
You have to go through their website and side load the full version that way. It's a different app from the one in Google Play.

I use Adguard with my default browser, Dolphin, and it works seamlessly in the background. I never see ads or pop-ups.

I don't know *how* it works, only that it does. Adguard also blocks ads within third-party apps like The New York Times.

Love Adguard - I haven't seen ads at all on my stock, unrooted S7 edge in a year. Adguard has saved me a ton of data and visual clutter. See my stats in the attached screenshot.

Yes, I get the full version on all devices and use it to block everything I don't want online. I never see any ads apart from the embedded ones in YouTube... It actually saves power and data as all those background things that want to go online can't, they get blocked by the firewall.

For my uses, Opera works best for me.

I download podcasts, photos, and various documents frequently. With Opera, I like the option of choosing where each files are saved and rename them before they are saved. Chrome, Firefox, and Brave do not have this option.

On Opera, switching tabs is towards the bottom of the app rather than at the top. The way I hold my phone, switching tabs on Opera feels more natural to me because I don't have to stretch my hand up towards the top of the the way I need to with Chrome, Firefox, and Brave.

Opera prompts to clear cache when exiting. Sometimes I need the cache cleared all the time, while other times I don't. I don't need to go into the menu in order to clear cache.

In terms of browsing experience, I don't see much difference between the browsers, but your YMMV.

There might be other browsers that might have the same features that I like but I haven't attempted to research them. Opera works well for me so I'm sticking with it.

Best is nbpro...naked browser...use it daily..discovered it a long time back...lightest browser....most fully featured...you long press on links and they automatically load in background like pressing ctrl and click on desktop chrome

I love Naked Browser too (NBpro) it gave me piece of mind with regard to trying to save battery power as you can easily switch off battery draing Javascript with a toggle button.

However, NBpro is not for the faint-hearted, even myself as a somewhat tech-savvy smartphone user got a little frustrated with its cosmetic apperance and lack of 'modern' tab swtiching feature. Yes you can switch tabs but it is brutal compared to the likes of Chrome. Its a bit of a trade off, you definately have a browser with NBpro that gives you better privacy and saves battery at the expense of convient features.

Fortunately, I think I have found a compromise. Just downloaded Brave Browser and I feel it kinda has the best of both Chrome and NBpro. It has a built in ad blocker which will hep to save on battery but has the same appearnce of Chrome (as it is built on the open source chromium). Its really fast infact I would say one of the fastest browsers Ive tried. Since using this browser I havent used NBpro. I still kepp NBpro on my mobile as a backup, but Brave Browser is my daily driver now!

Firefox + Ublock Origin addon. If chrome on android ever gets extension support, I would probably switch to it.

The navbar being in the bottom has been the best update Chrome has had since ever.

Been using Firefox for years now and it only gets better. I can even use YouTube as a radio by turning my screen off. You can install any plugins you want and choose all of the web search engines you can on the desktop version. There syncing if that's your thing and the performance has been getting better.

I've avoided updates on it specifically to avoid that move, so I'd call it the worst update so far (or at least on par with replacing the bookmarks link on the new tab page with spam). I've tried similar changes before with other apps, and I keep activating the bottom row menus and such when I try scrolling up.

I have gone back to Firefox and have not looked back it is a brilliant browser once more I think. I like how you can select your own quick tabs on the start page.
