OK, I have this rom now and CWM red recovery. I did not see a touch screen adjustment file anywhere. What have I missed? I have flashed the permissions file.

This is the best way to go. Faster Than CR on Voodoo.

I tried to install this and I have not had any luck.

1. DLed the file from the above link
2. Moved it to my SD card
3. Tried to use CWM to unzip it but it did not work
4. Tried to use WinZip to extract it and got the following error "Extracting powerwashed_20_b3_Full_ec09modem.tar.md5 Unknown compression method"
5. I also figured out that ODIN does not recognize the compressed files either


What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do?

NEVERMIND.... I did a little more reading and figured out I needed to use 7Zip to extract....

Winrar also works too..it will exract just about any compressed file

I was running CM7 with Glitch, but switched to PowerWash Gingerbread this weekend. GPS is working again, speaker volume is normal, bluetooth is working, no more phantom rings.

If you haven't flash in a while and just want something that works, get PWGB

I am thinking about giving the rom a try. If I'm on CM7 with glitch, all I need to do is odin this rom with the pit file and repartion checked? or do I need to odin back to stock first?

I did the same thing yesterday. All I did was unzip the file and Odin'ed the ROM. You do not need to do the PIT file. The dev only put it there if people wanted it.

Yeah what file? I just had this problem for the first time and I'd like it fixed ASAP. I hope it doesn't become a regular thing.

I'm thinking about going with the recommended ROM here - PowerWashed GB, but I'm running CyanogenMod 7.1.0 0717 and have been able to stream Netflix. Will I be able to use Netflix w/the PowerWashed GB ROM?

So I've been running this ROM for a few days now and I am loving it! Everything works with no FCs, and after a few days of it settling in my battery is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have NEVER had good battery life before and now at almost 8hr and 45min, I am still at 75% battery life. See screenshot. I have been doing some phone calls, web surfing, Facebook, etc.

I have no reason to leave this ROM anytime soon.... except for the fact I am a ROM addict!

I agree! It seems much faster and is running great! Actually streams Netflix better than the CM7 I was running.

I don't like the puzzle lock so I loaded the optional swipe screen unlock, don't like it either...
Anyone know how to install the old wheel type unlock that was on the CM7 ROM?

I would recommend the AOSP unlock - xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][i500][09/01][EH09][ODIN][2.3.4] PWGB v2.0b3 TW-Based ROM

Gives you the sound toggle and unlock just in horizontal tabs rather than the wheel. Pretty similar.

Only thing its missing is lock screen media controls, but for right now I wouldn't trade that for stability and functionality. I am a ROM addict so I don't know how long I can stay in one place (same way with Linux distros - as soon as I get a distro working I feel the itch to start over from scratch with something new).

You should be able to install the CM7 lock or something similar. I didn't like the calendar so I used another one (from CM7) and it works (although it is v 2.3.5)

Was suggested to me to copy/reformat/copy back. I guess I'll have to try that as this is big reason why I left MTD.

Of course now I'm hearing that TSM Pool Party has successfully added the TW camera. If this is so and it's really stable I'll have to try it. To have the speed of MTD with the TW camera would be sweet. Of course - everything else is working ... cake and eat it too etc.

I recently read something indicating you need a class 6 or higher sd card for 720p recording. Haven't tried it out and not sure, but sounds like it may be the issue you are having.

Aw horsefeathers. So the card Samsung/Verizon saw fit to include with the phone can't handle on of its marquee features? I recorded at 720p all the time back on stock eclair/Superclean/ComRom. I'll record at 480p and I'll like it!

*update it seems to only happen every so often as I was able to record for over 5 minutes straight yesterday with no error - odd
