Folks,

I Updated to 1.2 and promptly rooted my NC. I realy like the changes this process adds. I love to be divorced from the B&N appstore (Sorry B&N but charging for apps I can get for free somewhere else that is so...Microsoft...but I digress) The problem I'm encountering is that the Android Market app is behaving funky. It can not fins any of the apps I try to search for (As in the search can not fins anything even apps I KNOW exist) Also it only displays the first page for the apps list and does not scroll, even the "Just arrived" list has only like 15 app names and that's it. Also If I try to download an app it will not work. So as of right now I just have an app that displays a list of about 15 apps and that's it. Has anyone with a rooted V1.2 experienced this problem?

I think currently there is an issue with the market on rooted 1.2 due to incompatibility of google apps across firmwares, or something like that. I've been following the nook color development threads on the XDA forums, they have a better handle of all that's going on so you may want to search there. I believe there are work arounds also for making the apps visible on the market in 1.2.

I've been waiting to get this resolved. I suppose we could do a titanium backup, update to 1.2, root, then restore the apps but that doesn't solve the actual problem.

look at this post #92:

ManualNooter 4.4.28 (For Stock 1.2) - Page 10 - xda-developers

these are instructions worked for me!

I downloaded the apps I wanted that wouldn't load from mediafire to my computer (angry birds, aldiko...) put then on the nook via USB (NOT SD can't have SD in nook for some apps) and installed by finding the file in a file explorer app

I do not have the 1.2 update (running CM7) but one of the original Market issue using the rooted 1.0.1 was a limited list of apps. Accessing the Market in landscape mode showed more apps... Give it try.
