Ok I need to find a way to do this in Less steps! Its so much work to do it the way I am! I hope you all can help me.

Currently I open up S note, hit add new note select <idea note> then Goto add picture using camera. Then I draw on it then I save as an image. Then I press back to main S note page, long press on my image, click share and then select my texting program. And when I text the photo it comes out all distorted!

Ugh!

Is there a faster way to just take a pic, draw on it and text it?

Thanks in advance.

Take picture, click menu, advanced edit, open photo editor, draw on photo, share photo.

If you don't need the picture to be at the original resolution, then you could just do

1) Take a picture
2) Click on the picture you just took at the lower left corner of the camera app
3) Tap the picture to clear away everything except for the picture
4) Take out your s-pen and hold the button and long tap (with your s-pen) on the screen
5) Draw on the picture
6) Share it via your MMS app

This involves using the pen, but it just takes a few seconds depending what you want to write.

Take the picture
Remove your s pen
Hold down the s pen and swipe down to bring up the menu
Select photo note(front, if you want it on front)
Write what you want
Back into the gallery and look for photo note folder
Select the picture
Use the top right to share the mythos you wish.

Haven't found either of these to work for me. I recommend trying the free app Skitch - it's made to do exactly what the OP was asking.

I like your way better. I forgot about this route. How much resolution is lost? Doesnt seem like much.

Yes, that's another option, I'm just trying to stay with the native apps these days. I used to use skitch also, then they messed with it and incorporated it heavily into evernote, taking a lot of it's functionality away. I said then, that I would use the native applications from Samsung. Especially since they are designed to work together. But skitch is definitely another option. Photoshop Elements does that also as far as external applications. There are a few 3rd party that let you do it.

Are you using an app? When I use my camera to take a picture and then press menu all I get is "edit shortcuts" and no advanced edit.

Thanks, this works and is a bit faster. Wish there was a texting app that made it even faster!

You have to open the picture first by clicking it from the bottom left of your screen, then menu.

You have to download the free Photo Editor app from the SAMSUNG app store. I would download the Video Editor while you are there as well.

Is that the Samsung Photo Editor?
I opened Samsung Apps and found it, clicked install and it took me to the google playstore where I got a message saying it wasn't compatible with my device. (AT&T, 4.1.2, unrooted)
