What's the upside of 8.0?

Since upgrading phone seems pretty slow and battery draining too fast. Guess I will need to factory reset. Then, what is the benefit?

Thanks, it settled in and now working okay. My wife ended up with this phone after the Note7 fiasco. Not sure I am going to be able to tear her away from the "home" button to upgrade to the 9 series.
