I don't know if anyone else saw this, but Samsung has finally started to release Froyo for Galaxy S phones. Here's the link to engadget: Galaxy S Android 2.2 Froyo update begins to trickle out (update: official) -- Engadget
Don't expect it for us anytime soon. Samsung is not the one pushing it to our phones, Verizon will be.
All I want from the update is the GPS fix. If I could just have that, and nothing else, I could patiently wait for the rest. For those of you who haven't experienced Froyo - aside from the ability to install apps to SD card - it's a little underwhelming.
I hope 2.2 addresses the fact that you can't use headphones on phone calls. That's something I'd do on my Droid 2 when I was on campus or somewhere loud, and I hate that I can't do it on my Fascinate.

Really? My wife and I bought skullcandy headphones that have built in mics and we talk all the time over the head phones. The mic even has the button that let's you answer without having to touch the phone.
Cuda
headphones work fine as long as they have the correct plug (TRRS not TRS)
That's lame. Regular headphones worked just fine on my other phones. I'm not buying new headphones.

Isn't there supposed to be a pretty significant speed increase from the JIT compiler?
