What's up with this widget?

So, looking at the picture below, what's going on with this stock widget in the top right? The one that is currently showing the date. Yesterday it showed the weather and when I touched it, it would go into a more detailed view of today's weather, tomorrow and a 10 day trend.
Now this morning, it's back to the date.
How do I get that back? I much rather have the weather there....

If you go and refresh your Google Feed it should change back to showing the weather.

Mine does this every time I restart my phone. Takes a bit to refresh.

I just wish the weather widget were configurable to not show the date. Redundant if you use the stock clock widget (annoyingly so, given they are both on out-of-the-box).

Very much so. Is there also a simple way to get rid of it all together? Sometimes I find myself want too rearrange, however that just throws off everything.

When you pause your location history, or turn it off and clear out your location history, when you do a reboot it doesn't come back. It only appears when you have your location on and it isn't in the pause mode. This I found to be consistent most of the time but there are other times where it does not always work when I do this. I think this entire weather display is kind of wonky at best. There should be a toggle if you want it to display or if you only want it to display the date, or both on whatever

Yeah wonky at best is a good description. When I woke up this morning it was showing the weather, and now it's back to showing just the date.
I haven't touched any settings or such....
