What's with the Android OS?

I've noticed my phone getting "almost full" fairly frequently and I always knew it had something to do with system files, but I decided to look into it tonight and it's completely ridiculous!

I'm not sure what user data is.. But system and user data are considered the same category and take up 15GB on my 16GB phone.

Hello! Just to be clear, this IS the same anonymous user who posted the topic. I didn't realize I already have an account on here.

My phone is a Samsung J3 6 (or something close to that if I'm wrong; I don't use my phone's name very often)

That actually tells us nothing. Tap the three dots on the upper right, then internal storage. It should show us a breakdown of the storage used.
