Whats with the weekly software updates all of a sudden?

[Android Central Question]

Why has my s7 updated nearly every week for the past 6-8 weeks? I used to get a software update once every 2-3 months. What's going on, and why do the updates keep messing with my settings and randomly changing things such as my backgrounds and contact photos? Sort it out android!
