So I see like 95% of people on here are or have switched to either launcher pro or adw, I have both lpp and adw ex from my og droid but I an actually liking the blur launcher. Just curious why you guys all switched is it performance or features that blur doesn't have? Thanks for your opinions!

Both performance and the custom stuff you can do with them.

I've tried ADW, Launcher Pro, Zeam, and something else I can't recall right now. I still use Blur Launcher. I actually like their widgets and I'm not willing to pay for an equivalent widget to run on another launcher (yes I'm a cheap ass).

I see nothing wrong with Blur and don't feel like I'm missing anything by using it. I'm sure I'll get made fun of for saying that. It's all up to personal preference. Try them all and pick the one you like the best. There is no consequence to trying them.

Launcher pro and adw let me use the blur widgets so your not missing anything

I had no problem with the stock launcher. I actually like the way it looks especially with the red dots for switching screens. I switched to LPP because of the custom icons and I like their widgets. The 3D app drawer is cool also. You can also have up to like 5 docks and have a swipe gesture shortcut for each icon. I guess the only thing I really liked about the stock launcher was the red dots for switching screens.

Lol I think for now I'm sticking to stock I played with then all and I think I'm just Bored with them, whereas the blur launcher is new and different. I will probably switch up later just wanted to see the reasons everyone else switched

Yea its whatever you like. I switched in and out of stock and LPP 3 times before I stuck with it.

I like LauncherPro because the calendar widget is nicer then the stock ones. I like the Pinch to see all windows and the 3d drawer is nice as well.

It's slow and sluggish compared to the other launchers...at least when I have a lot of widgets running.

I hate the blur launcher and use ADW Ex and LPP instead. I think it's redundant to have icons for the phone AND the contacts at the bottom of the homescreen. I also hate how the red dots appear at the bottom when switching screens and take a while to disappear from the bottom of the screen. I also hate that it's not as easy to jump from one homescreen to another with the blur launcher because of the lack of the sense-like previews that are available in ADW Ex and LPP.

I have my phone underclocked ultra low voltage 800mhz and still smooth. Go back to your blur launcher and close all widget.

I use the Blur interface and oddly I like it. I used several launchers on other devices but something just appeals to me with the DX interface.

I do not experience slowness going screen to screen nor when opening any apps. My device is all widgets on all screens except one. Only issue by doing this is, it forced me to get an extended battery.

I am curious as to whether there will be an update to the blur interface...

Its the users decision but Blur launcher is laggy in my opinion and I really dont like the widgets, I just switched to ADW Launcher EX from LPP+ and the level of customization really make me not miss Blurs launcher.

Blur was boring. I like LP with the dock on the bottom and the ability to change it's look. I keep finding new things on the phone to customize.

When I first got my droid x about three months ago from the start I was not pleased with blurs design and performance, having contacts instead of web on the dock was very irritating, one can acces contacts by selecting dialer then contacts, and now with the quick number find added from the lastest update it even easier to find people, no need for a contacts icon. The second biggest drawback I noticed was the lag/choppy delay while moving between windows on the home screen, after using lpp or adw it is MUCH smoother and VERY noticable so what's with the lag moto? Don't get me started on using live wallpapers like light grid pro with blur..

Using lpp or adw reduces the lag dramatically, its an obviouse speed increase and going from stock blur with lpp or adw to a blurless rom is even more of a speed increase in every aspect, like butter.

For me I personally feel as if the droid x is an amazing phone I wont trade in any time soon, but blur is the bottleneck.

Blur is really slow compared to other launchers out there
it also doesn't afford me the ability to customize how i want to.
android is open right? :D
