What's wrong with the LG g2?

Hello all
For some reason I feel there is something wrong with this phone. I'm not really sure why other than what I'm seeing on the Web. This is what I have seen so far.

Possible negatives
1. Buttons on the back
I'll give it a shot, not a deal breaker for me
2. UI
So far the notification pull down is the only thing that I might have a issue with. Everything else I can get around with apps like a launcher.
3. Plastic feel
Never really bothered me. I would rather have the lighter phone anyway
4. Storage
I just hope Verizon sells the 32gb version but I could be okay with the 16. We'll see
5. Verizon logos
If that is all they screw with I'm okay with that.
6.Knock to wake
Will just have to see this in person

What I'm loving
Screen size
Battery
Speakers (anything to keep it from looking like my phone is telling me a secret in public as cup my phone and put it to my ear
Camera(I think it should be on par with the S4)
No buttons on the front

So what am I missing? As for me it's between this phone and the GS4

I'm just thinking it might be better to post the questions on here rather than PM you so all can benefit.

I'll start if you don't mind. Have you used the HTC one and how do you think these devices compare to one another in Screen, build quality, and menus? I've never used or bought an Android but I am looking to try something new and build quality and reliability are both important and LG I know is hit and miss with other products such as TVs, appliances, etc. So their phones are an unknown for me, but I also don't care for Samsung or their use of OLED tech.

That button placement alone is enough for me. I also really really hate on screen buttons. Although, I like the always on and active notification of the Maxx. If the official car dock for the Maxx is non-existant or does not integrate charging, I'll give the G2 a look. It looks like Motorola abandoned their car docks to a third party based on what is available for the Moto X. Regardless of what else a phone might do, if I don't have a good dock with integrated charging, I'm not interested.

I feel like the phone placement might be a breakthrough. I've often dropped or nearly dropped my phone trying to take photos/selfies. I find it less than perfect while arcing my hand around to give my thumb room to get to the screen to take the shot. Hands too small for the overall size?

Similarly, the volume knob on the side has caused problems. I've often loosened my grip to get my fingers on the phone's rocker.

Obviously, its to each his own ie size of hand vs. phone.
The combo of hand size, finger length and overall size of the phone is going to prove one way or another. Hopefully, we'll find out soon.

As for the rear button, just think of where your index finger naturally lays when holding your phone...right where that button is.
Also with no side buttons at all, it is more room for the edge to edge screen and also the battery.
Pretty darn good idea, IMO.
Also, I like on screen controls/no physical button.

That's what's great about a free market. We all have our opinion, and there is no one answer for the general public. We may very well see many more phones with rear button placements. I might even end up with a G2 if the Maxx doesn't pan out for me. I'm sure I'll get used to the buttons and knocking on my phone. Although, that might be dangerous. I can see myself beating it on the counter to wake it up when it gets old and slows down on me. WAKE UP!!! $%$(!#$ Phone! Haha! Seriously though, I like the phone, but it does not sway me from the Maxx like it did in the beginning. I wish it was out soon. I'd like to compare it to the Maxx in person, but really, the Maxx fits what I'm looking for, as long as there is a charging car dock. The HTC One just took too long to come out, or I'd have One (pun intended) already.

And for the record, I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and I hate Corn Pops.

Buttons on the back. I don't care. You cant get the screen all the way to the edge and have buttons. No buttons on the back means this phone would be a bit wider.

sorry for the late repy yes i own a silver htc one at the moment its amazing it feutures boomsound two front speakers ir blaster wich you can use to control anything tv ac apliances ect build quality is great made of aluminium body its great matter a fact i dropped it today and it looked like nothing happen no broken screen ect i personally dont like samsung i avoid all their devices but have some for review i would recommend the htc one over the plastic body of rhe galaxy

Anti shake lens! I don't know about anyone else, but my hands do shake when trying to take smartphone pics. I think this is a huge deal compared to some of the others without this feature.

Agreed and this is once again yet another feature that is either glossed over in a lot of the hands on reviews we have seen or completely omitted and I just feel like if this was on the GS4 or HTC One we wouldn't be seeing that.

Some place I read that ultimate resolution is not quite as good when the devise has OIS. I don't know why that would be, and I can't remember where I read that. has that been your experience, or do you notice anything?

I can't figure out why there would be buttons on the back. They claim most people hold their phones with their index finger on the back of the phone. I don't think that's true but who really knows what most people do? I know I don't and those buttons do not make me want to upgrade from my G to the G2.

I'm waiting for someone to come out with simplicity done well instead of more and more phony "innovations" that no one really needs.
