Whats your favorite ROM?

I figure these ROMs have had a few weeks to mature, and most seem pretty stable now, so the question is simple: What is your favorite ROM so far, and why?

My vote is obvious by my signature FroYo: Speeeeeeeed!

I've been using the FROYO Rom mentioned above for a couple days and I love it. There are a few issues. One is it doesn't sync facebook contacts. There's a half-assed workaround by using Socialite (search for it) and SyncMyPix.

Another is the camera doesn't work. Nothing we can do about it yet.

You also can't set ringtones for specific contacts. I suspect we'll have a new, even better version soon since the Froyo source was released yesterday.

For battery saving purposes, which rom is better? I'm currently using baked snack and i don't see much of a difference

I have the Fresh .3 version and the EvolutionV8 Froyo. I get about 12 hours of moderate use on Fresh and got 20 hours in my only test on Froyo. That's quite a difference. I'll be swapping back and forth a lot until we get camera on Froyo though as I really do like using the camera.

i get about 20 hours on my RvU, and 20 on my v8

think of it like driving a car. If you floor it, shift often, change lanes, ect... your going to get worse milage than just driving in the slow lane on cruise.

Maybe you typically do more on your 2.1 than you do on you 2.2, i know i barely use my 2.2 at all, and my 2.1 has been dramatically toned down. But people who are constantly playing with their 2.2 or 2.1 will have different performance. And this all in addition to the drastic software changes between versions. Just keep it in mind

Have you tried Fresh? If so, how many hours you get on that?

Haven't tried fresh yet Y_Y

But i'm stable with RvU and v8, so i'm in no hurry. I just got finished writing up the how to unroot. So it'll be a while before i flash anything. =P

Maybe i'll give the fist fresh 2.2 rom a try =)

a quick question how hard is it to update any roms once a newer version comes out?
is it as simple as pushing update on the phone?

Should be, some roms can be set up through clockwork to receive OTA updates, but on most you just flash the new rom or update.zip and restore if need be.
