What's Your Greatest Fear/Concern About The S10?

It doesn't seem like the ultrasonic FPS will be better than the tried-and-true capacitive FPS. I'm not sure I want to spend $1K on a phone that doesn't have intuitive and fluid biometric security.

Hmmm. Not sure about the fingerprint reader. Played with it in BB and registered my fingerprint. It worked ok, but not very fast...and more of a press than I expected. This is my biggest concern about new design, i have finally gotten used to FPreader on back of phone. If this is buggy..I might stay with Note9

How did you register your FP did they not have the phones in demo mode?

Hi Libra! We meet on the other side! You're looking into an S10? I think we can both agree that the flamingo pink is our go to

My main concern too is battery life. Samsung's have never outlasted iPhones I've owned. I just went into Verizon today and took a peek. Love the S10 it's so light and a great size.

No Popkurn don’t do it!!! Nooooooooo!! LOL.

The quality of the cameras. I'd rather Samsung didn't add the wide angle and just double down on photo processing. improve the telescope lens to include 3x or even 5x. A tad larger sensor for improved night shots.

The photo quality from early reports point to it being like the s9 series which is ok but a little disappointing.

I think they could have done both. Wide angle is a great feature.

Don't do the flamingo pink?! Or don't make the switch over?!?!?

I am probably staying put after sleeping on it. As much as I'd love to leave iOS, I just can't do it.

Making the switch haha. I checked out the phones yesterday and while they are very nice there are still things that annoy me about Android that it can’t do despite it being touted for its customization and “openness”

Battery life.... Looks good here.

Maybe I don't look hard enough but it seems like ALL early reviews of iPhones and Galaxies are gushing with praise. Often serious flaws get very little attention even weeks after release. They're discussed in forums but the reviewers move on to gush about the next new release.

Seems you missed a biggie. The hole punch, especially the double one on the 10+. How will the hardware, and apps behave, and will it start driving people nuts. Kind of like having giant cluster of dead pixels on a display. Wouldn't that annoy you if your monitor or TV had this?

Also how quickly will developers update their apps to compensate for the hole punch? Even with the iPhone X🅂 Max I still have a few apps that haven’t been updated for the screen.

It will behave like a notch. Some apps will stay below the hole and some won't. Some videos can be expanded past the hole if desired. The only issue would be certain apps like games might have information missing if running full screen.

The FPS and the punch are my concerns. I will be losing two very useful features and another one will be moved to a less convenient location.

I agree it is a flaw but most reviewers just gloss over it or say it is better than the notch. I'd prefer bezels but newness rules.

My biggest concern is, I will be disappointed with the ceramic white color. There are no demo units floating around for me to see it in person. Secondly, the only reason I'm buying an S10 plus is because I'm chasing technology and intrigued. I don't view the s10 plus an upgrade over my Note 9 and I'm convinced I'll get the Note 10 when that's released. Ugh....

I just got back from a local AT&T store to look at the S10+ again. I must say, I'm more sold on it than I was initially on Saturday. Scrolling is smooth, app loading times are instant and browsing is fast. It is very light and ergonomic in the hand; the Note 9 by comparison is decidedly thicker and heavier.

The Note 9 that was on display was updated to One UI as well. If I was to compare, the Note 9 was a just a smidge slower. I then asked a rep about screen protectors, mentioning the claim that TGSP's wouldn't work with the IDFS. He said that he didn't see a reason why it wouldn't work with a glass protector. He showed me his Note 9 that was outfitted with a Zagg TGSP and a Speck Presidio Grip case. The Zagg did look nice, and it did go to the edge.

Anyway, yeah, the S10+ in Flamingo Pink will be my next phone.

My only concern about the S10 is the app bloat caused by pre-installed apps that are never going to be used and cannot be removed and if being the 2nd phone released following the introduction of project Treble, will the updates come quicker?
