What's Your Greatest Fear/Concern About The S10?

On the other side I am an amateur and I don't know so much about radiation but I'm concerned about caring in my pocket something that have ultrasonic radiation even that is very small amount(probably).

There's no such thing as ultrasonic radiation. Ultrasonic is sound waves.

My biggest fear is the fingerprint sensor being janky. From what I've seen so far, early impressions are that it isn't great; especially since it was touted that it could be used with wet or oily fingers. Also, I'm iffy on the pill cutout. It looks like an eyesore that ruins an otherwise gorgeous, bright screen.

Next, the reception and call quality. I currently have a Nexus 6P, but I did end up getting a V30 last spring, thinking I'd be set because I loved the quad DAC. Nope, the radios were terrible, and LG's UI is hideous, not to mention their pittance of a theme store, when compared to Samsung.

Lastly, I'm concerned battery life won't live up to the hype of its capacity; especially in standby mode. I've seen an early battery test with the Exynos variant where it came out on top with 7:30 of SOT from simulated "real world use", but since I'm in the US, the SD 855 is it. This would be my first Samsung phone since the S3, which I hated, so the fact that I'm willing to try it again, I have high expectations.

Can you link to any of the impressions on the fingerprint sensor? Every first impression I've read was gushing over it compared to the optical ones that are already out there.

Biggest fear? I'll miss the LED notifications more than I think I will. Other than that, I'm excited. I love Samsung phones. This is the upgrade the s9 should have been. My experiences have been great, the majority of the time, and I've never had a bad experience. I've had two iPhones, and I always come back to Samsung. I hope to see DJ Koh in the wild one day. :)

Hmmm. Not sure about the fingerprint reader. Played with it in BB and registered my fingerprint. It worked ok, but not very fast...and more of a press than I expected. This is my biggest concern about new design, i have finally gotten used to FPreader on back of phone. If this is buggy..I might stay with Note9

My only concerns are battery life and front camera quality. I fear trading my device with OK battery life for one with weaker battery life. (I currently have an X as a point of reference.)

As for cameras, I'm sure it's generally good but hearing that the camera is the same as the S9s, has me relieved for the main camera but not so much for the front camera.
While the Google camera apk will possibly appear for this phone, I don't want to have to rely on it for a picture I would be fine with for the front. I have been down this road before and it got annoying after awhile.

I'm just used to the rear FPS now so it's actually going to feel awkward for me to get used to it being on the front again. I use the FPS way more than intelligent scan

Hi Libra! We meet on the other side! You're looking into an S10? I think we can both agree that the flamingo pink is our go to

My main concern too is battery life. Samsung's have never outlasted iPhones I've owned. I just went into Verizon today and took a peek. Love the S10 it's so light and a great size.

Hey! Good to see you here! Yeah, I'm more so looking into the S10e since it hits closer to the size I want but the S10e and S10 are similar anyway. Yes that is the best color!

Uh oh, in that case, that doesn't sound good. The size is great and I hope we are proven wrong about the battery life.

That I will love like my previous purchases and be forced to sell it like my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and soon my Huawei P20 Pro Twilight.

Seriously, life is too short to worry about the little things.

I actually really liked the s10e as well! It's a toss up. I think Samsung def did it right size wise where apple totally screwed it up. The "budget" size should be the smallest. Are you preordering through Samsung for the free ear buds? Is this replacing your X or an addition? I can't own both I'm still trying to decide.

I agree with you on Apple's pricing. I'm really debating if I should preorder or not, it's tough. I think I need to play with a display model to help me decide.
It will replace it, I also can't own both either. The trade-in value for my X is good considering what I paid for it so paying full price is a set up lol.

I wish you luck with your decision of what to do.

FYI, you can get the free earbuds no matter whom you order from. I've always gotten my phones from T-Mobile and I was always able to get the free gifts. In fact this time when I pre-ordered the S10+, the rep specifically told me to register for the free earbuds as soon as I got the phone.

I as well will take advantage of the trade in deal and pay full retail. I also am glued to iMessage so that is my other thing I will be leaving. I send and receive a lot of video messages to other iOS users. Now I will receive blurry videos if they don't send through WhatsApp. Big inconvenience.

All in all, I won't pay $1,000 for an iPhone because there are clearly much better devices for cheaper prices with way better promos

The quality of the cameras. I'd rather Samsung didn't add the wide angle and just double down on photo processing. improve the telescope lens to include 3x or even 5x. A tad larger sensor for improved night shots.

The photo quality from early reports point to it being like the s9 series which is ok but a little disappointing.

Battery life.... Looks good here.

I still miss my S7 because it actually had a flat screen and not the edge nonsense. That S10e is looking so good to me...

I didn't like the curve on the 10+. I don't mind curved glass but curved screen is a no go for me at the moment.

Battery life is definitly not concern. Someone did a normal usage battery test on youtube and after 9 hours of Screen Time, his battery was at 18%

I'm disappointed in the blue. It looks boring. Second year in a row Samsung gives us an uninspiring blue variant.

I'd go with the coral or black.

I wish Samsung would reintroduce the gemstone colors they had on the S6(?). I remember the Emerald green being really good color.
