Whatsapp account hacked?

[Android Central Question]

Some days ago, a spam-like message, with a link was sent to multiple of my contacts with my nr. Nobody had access to my phone. Nor have I ever used WhatsappWeb option. Whatsapp customer service says it's impossible. Yet it clearly happened. The message was a so called Quora advice from a celebrity, wiht a link. Some of my contacts clicked on it, and then it directed her to download an app.
Anybody knows what's going on?

So you saying you got a spam WhatsApp message and it sent it to 2 of your contacts ?
