WhatsApp call notification often doesn't work!

I'm in the USA using a Samsung Note 3. I have WhatsApp installed (and recently reinstalled, twice).

It works perfectly for messaging and group chats but works only sometimes for RECEIVING voice calls. No problem at all when I make voice calls on the app.

My droid is set to ring and vibrate when a WA voice call comes in. During any given day I receive about 5 calls from South Africa and Australia. Here is what happens:

ANY of the following will occur:

5 out of 5 received OK, no problem at all; 4 out of 5 received but no notification (ring or vibration) for one; 3 out of 5 received, no ring or vibration for two; 2 out of 5 received, no ring or vibration for 3, etc., etc.

Sometimes I get vibration only but no ring notification. Call is unanswerable when there is no ring notification (whether or not it vibrates).

ALWAYS get a 'missed call' notification in the status bar and WA screen.

The caller will hear a normal ringing tone whether or not I get a ring notification, and whether or not it vibrates on my end. They'll hear the ringing until they hang up.

I've checked all settings, and disabled any battery saving app or power saving mode. Also removed all task-killer apps. Background data NOT restricted.

I'm on AT&T 4G LTE network, plus Comcast wi-fi. My contacts are also on local networks AND wi-fi.

Suggestions please!!!!

Unfortunately that's not a phone issue but a Whatsapp issue. It's been popping up since a couple versions ago, but you should definitely submit the bug report to them. Nothing you can do except to wait for them to fix the app.

The more reports they get the faster they can get to it. I also know a friend who has the issue on his iPhone, so this is not just on Android, it would seem.

I need to ask a question basically when you go on whattsapp do you get the missed call notification in the whattsapp call log or chat because someone from the UK called no notification in my whattsapp call log or chat and I'm in India did this happen to you?
