Galaxy 7 ultra - phone. whatsapp, Gmail notifications

Hi all,
Started using a new galaxy ultra a few hours ago.
Test call and WA message were successfully received but with no notification
Checked the notif. in settings and they're 'on'

If you can help me figure why it doesn't ring when call/msg come in, that will be appreciated!
