Whatsapp icon greyed out but functional

All of a sudden my WhatsApp icon is greyed out in my notification center and my notifications whilst all my other icons like my mail does have a colour. It's not good for my OCD

Wow, I came here to literally post about this same issue and it's so reassuring to know I'm not the only one! I'd say about a week or less ago my notification icons for Whatsapp suddenly went from it's usual green to a dark grey color. Not ideal at all when using the AOD with my S10+. My fiancee owns the S8+ and the same problem is present on her device and it happened at the same time.

I actually assumed everyone's did this. Until a friend with an S9+ came by on the weekend and his was still green. I contacted Whatsapp support, provided them pics and a detailed description but have heard nothing back. While it's not a huge deal, it's definitely more of an annoyance not being able to see what the notification is for without having to really take a closer stare at it.

UPDATE: Just read an article that Whatsapp is testing the new "dark/night" mode themes. I've noticed other apps starting to update their apps as well. Weird though, I actually suspected this originally and switched it back to the default theme but the icon stayed grey. So I assumed it wasn't related.

Actually it was fixed maybe a month or less later by a Whatsapp update. So all good, thanks!!
