When are we going to get Android Lollipop?(Samsung)

I asked a Samsung rep in my local Best Buy if we were getting the update or being forgotten. He looked at something on his computer and said that we definitely are getting it, he just didn't know when. I really hope he wasn't bullshi__ing me.

They said in late Apirl but I dont know. 5.1 is out and I. Pretty much tried of the Android OS. My Windows Phone can get the latest version if I want. This is what you get with freeware OS.

So is it safe to say that we aren't getting lollipop on our Pro 8.4 ?

Galaxy Note 4
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
Galaxy Tab 2
Galaxy Gear S/ Gear 1 Tizen
Galaxy Circle/ Gear Level speaker

Lollipop was unveiled 350 days ago, was released 7 months ago, has gone through three updates on other tablets, and the next version of Android was announced last month, while the Pro 8.4 is still listed as "TBA" by Samsung . . .so yeah, I think it's safe to say that we won't be getting Lollilpop on our Pro 8.4.

It's also safe to say that I will probably not buy another Samsung device.

Q3 this year. Just announced on the 13th.

Announced when / where? By Who? Is it official that 8.4 PRO is getting lollipop?
I read on another forum that they will NOT be upgrading the PRO series to lollipop so I am a bit confused.

Like you I have Verizon Samsung Note 3 and got my Lollipop update on that in May but still waiting for the update on my Galaxy pro 8.4. I too am worried they won't update if indeed they are discontinuing this great tablet. Would be a shame to discontinue it.:(

I have a wi-fi only running 4.4.2 (over a yr old), I am perfectly satisfied; so Why update? The Samsung rep at Best Buy (last time I was there) said that the Note Pro would eventually get the update but he did not know when; they were not discontinuing support of the "Note Pro"

the new OS is pretty nice I had the new Tab A, but the screen was terrible, such a low pixel count, everything looked terrible, I took it back. and I seen this Tab Pro on sale so till I can get the new Tab S it is this Tab Pro and the Tab 4 in the house at the moment. but when it is available (Lollipop OS) you will like it,

This is NOT official. It is hit or miss on their accuracy. I too am hoping for lollipop at some point, but in the scheme of things it doesn't really matter. The Pro line is rock solid (just ordered a pro 10.1 to go with my 2 pro 8.4's). Some worried about discontinuing the line... again, why?!?!? If they do your device still works, just like it always has. Its not like they turn them off.

I personally feel that since it is listed as a high end samsung device, that at some point we will see a version of Android 5.?? and the 3rd qtr sounds like a fairly good guess. It should be noted however, that the only ones who truly know are not talking.

It might not be'official' in your eyes but I'm 100% expecting a Lollipop upgrade before the year is out

I've got the Galaxy Note 3 mobile. I'd love Lollipop for it... does anyone know when we will get it. It's on Vodafone!

My tab pro 8.4 has become very laggy. I don't think I will ever buy another Samsung product.

My house has become dirty, I doubt I will ever buy another one.

Devices don't just become laggy. The battery is the only real wearable part of a tablet. Most of the time some simple maintenence will fix the lag. Either clean up apps that are eating processor time, or clear the cache. Worst case, do a factory reset and start clean.

Like an oil change on a car, a little basic up keep will make you happier with your device for longer. There is nothing hardware wise that will wear down and create lag.

Besides updated security fixes what features does Lollipop bring to the table? This, from someone who is slow to change.
