When are you dumping your V20?

If you call, I think you can talk them into it. They let me pay off my note5 with a couple of $100 payments

You can also just put the money aside and pay it off if you're disciplined enough not to tap into it.

Oh I agree. I just remembered them letting me do it because I just wanted to pay it off in 1 year instead of 2

I have a feeling that the Galaxy S8 is going to give me the itch but I just got this phone in December so I'm keeping it for a while. Lol. I'll try to hold out for the V30 I think.

When AT&T offers up 5G service, it will be time for me to get a new phone. I've got 27 more months to pay it off. But if my next phone doesn't have a removable battery, it will be a feature loss that I will regret. It's not just the ability to quickly go from 0% to 100%. I believe that I can keep a phone longer and appreciate it better with fresher (not refurbished) batteries.

5G won't be for years .. 2020+ easily.

When and if a with superior specs AND a removable battery and headphones jack drops.

In my opinion.. I believe the V30 will be this. I think LG may be going the route with the G6 to compete more with Samsung and will keep the V30 as their "power user" type phone... Just like how Samsung keeps the Note for this (usually).

Again... Just an opinion but it makes sense in my head.

I went ahead and paid mine off with my tax return this month. Actually - before my first bill with it on there (just got this last month). At the time I got it, I couldn't buy it outright, but I knew I wanted to pay off quickly so that if I want the Note 8, I can make that jump. But I find I'm really enjoying this phone, so I might just wait!

My next phone is either going to be the V30, Moto Z 2, Pixel 2, or OnePlus 4/5 (if it supports Verizon). When all those phones are on the market, my V20 gets demoted to a backup phone.

That is a fantastic backup

As a Note fan, will likely upgrade when next one is released, but the V20 has really grown on me. The DAC, wide-angle lens, 2nd screen, and smooth UI are things that make it really useful. I will be seriously looking at next V series or big screen phone from LG.

Glad to hear that the V20 transformed another customer

I'll certainly be interested to see what the V30 has in store for us. Worried that LG is moving towards no removable battery. If the G6 sells well, that might be bad news for those of us who enjoy that feature. Hope I am wrong!

I honestly think it can't be to hard to make a removable back and still have an ip68 rating. Even if it's a glass back all you'd need is a decent rubber seal. The hardest part would be the latch that unhooks the backing. As for wireless charging, all they'd need to do is to build it attached to the backing or even on the batteries like Samsung did with it's NFC.

I'm seriously considering the S8+. Waiting to hear more about it this coming week before I make my decision. If not the S8+ then I'll wait it out for the Note 8 or the V30. Seriously, the V20 is a solid phone, I've enjoyed using it these past 5 months+. My only complaints would be lack of customization and something exactly like Samsung Pay. Yeah, I can do Android Pay but not everywhere I shop. Samsung Pay I could use anywhere. Something I miss from my S7 Edge.

Samsung Pay is the main reason I don't have the V20 right now. Love that phone but LOVE Samsung Pay
