When are you dumping your V20?

Samsung Pay is the main reason I don't have the V20 right now. Love that phone but LOVE Samsung Pay

I'm not sold on all the hype paying with a phone regardless of which pay system is out there. Not saying it's not a good feature but I can't make something like that a priority or a deal breaker. I guess that's why we are all different and let's be thankful for choices.

Well to be fair, Samsung Pay is pretty amazing. I picked up a Gear S3 Frontier watch yesterday and used it twice today to pay at the register. Forgot how much I missed it from the Note 7.

I'm sure it's convenient and I might feel differently after living with it for awhile but again I feel it's not a deal breaker for me. I'll compare it to my first phone with wireless charging which ended up with totally by accident as an upgrade on insurance replacement. I read about the specs after the fact and discovered it supported wireless. Bought a charger for home and one for work. I loved it and
I swore I could only replace it with another wireless model. In the end I decided that despite its convenience I could live without it and bought the G5 after Motorola abandoned a bunch us that were promised updates. Then I upgrade to the V20.

Ask me to live without the DAC though and a fight might break out.

Wireless charging is a sore subject. Another thing I miss from the Note 7 and was looking forward to getting back in the G6 but that became just a blurry memory as well.

I guess I should emphasize that a major part of the reason it was easy for me to let go of wireless was because of fast charging and the removable battery. Without both of these, more so fast charging, it was easy for me to give it up.

You can get a Gear S2 or S3 and have Samsung pay on your wrist and have it synced to your phone. It works.. Gear S2 is like $100 or less now.. I stopped using Samsung Pay because terminals required the chip to be entered.

Promotions and rewards aren't available on the watches, only with Samsung Pay on phones. That's a pretty big difference because some of their promotions are pretty good.

I have a gear S2 but I understand that Samsung paid on this watch only works on Tap and Pay type terminals like Android pay

Note 8 and I'm outta here! I've had zero flaws with the V20. Love the removable battery and top screen of the V20. It just feels so chincy compared to Samsung. I've owned all Samsung phones, and still have a Note 4 (2) S7 Edge. I bought 2 of the Note 7's. The Note 7's blew them all out of the park! It's mostly all personal preferences now.

I already pre-ordered the S8+. But now I am thinking I will seriously miss my DAC. I have kept the Google Play music because of it. But I do miss the Samsung, mainly the Note line. I don't think I will get the N8 line as I haven't missed the pen one bit. Ugh....decisions, decisions....first world problems.

Please let us know how your music on your S8+ sounds vs V20. I'm hoping Samsung has made some improvements with their acquisition of Harmon Kardon.
