When I answer a call can I talk through the watch?

I have the Gear S2, 3g version. Just like Detective (won't let me use his first name) Tracy, I can answer calls with the watch. I have answered calls on the watch downstairs when the phone was upstairs. I have answered calls in Walmart while my phone was in the truck. The watch actually has it's own phone number. You do have to set the phone up to forward calls to the watch through the Gear App (or give out the watch's number). Watch is also set to display the phone's number when making outgoing calls through the watch. Can use the keypad, or your phone's contact list (through the watch) to do this.

I can also read and answer text messages to my phone through the watch. There are several canned responses, and you can create custom responses. This, and the ability to answer the phone without taking off my belt, are very useful (to me anyway) while I'm driving..

All I can speak too is my AT&T 3G model.

When I am connected to my phone via BT, I can make/receive calls to/from the watch without issue.

When I am not connected to my phone, I can do the same, however, the calls initiated through the watch will show my watches phone number (which is turned off when you are connected via BT to your phone). I don't have Number Sync turned on due to issues with that service, so I can't speak to this feature.

The S2 3g has a mic and speaker. Just like the Gear s it can receive and make calls independent of the phone.

I have talked on mine. I had a Bluetooth only enabled Samsung prior could talk on it as well
