When I dial or I receive a call the screen goes black

I have a Nexus 4 and i have a problem:
When i dial or receive a call the screen goes black, even i am pressing the on/off button nothing happen. in this situation i can't stop the conversation or the dial.
When the conversation stops, while pressing the On/Off button the screen return back to normal.

Check if something covers proximity sensor. It may be a case or screen protector.

The screen should come back on after you pull it away from your face. May take a second. If not then check your screen protector, it may be blocking the proximity sensor. If you haven't taken the film off that comes on the screen when you got it, do so.

Do you have a screen protector ?
It might interfere with the sensor to close the screen while on conversation.
