when I get a call a message comes up saying 'accidental touch' comes on and I miss my call.

When my phone is 'off' and I get a call a screen comes up that says 'accidental touch protection' is on. How do I turn that off because I've missed a number of calls because of it.

Welcome to the forums. Which phone do you have? The right steps will depend on your model and Android version. In general that Accidental Touch screen can be dismissed swiping right or left and the feature can be disabled in Settings - Display.
