When I lock my phone, all notifications show, how do I stop this?

So I know the question doesn't make a ton of sense but pretty much what I mean is that if I lock my Galaxy S7 with notifications still on it, they will show on the lockscreen when I lock it. I want it so that it only shows notifications that I get AFTER I lock my phone. Does anybody know how to fix this? Maybe with an app or something?

I don't think this is possible. The phone will show notifications when they are present.

I just bought my S7 a fgew days ago. All of the text messages were transferred over, and now the lockscreen shows that I have 427 text messages waiting for me. Is there some way to clear or reset this counter?

Are you able to dismiss the notification? What about the messaging app settings - do you see a mark all read option?
